Yalitza Ferreras is a recent Steinbeck Fellow in Creative Writing at San Jose State University and winner of the 2020 Bellevue Literary Review Fiction Prize. Her writing has appeared or is forthcoming in Best American Short Stories, Kenyon Review, Aster(ix), The Southern Review, Colorado Review, and elsewhere. She is the recipient of fellowships and awards from Djerassi, Yaddo, San Francisco Writers’ Grotto, and Voices of Our Nation.
