Marke Bieschke is the publisher and arts editor of 48 Hills and the SF Bay Guardian, and the author most recently of Into the Streets: A Young Person's Visual History of Protest in the United States (Lerner, 2020) and Queer: The Ultimate LGBTQ Guide for Teens (Zest Books, 2019). He writes for several international publications about protest and youth issues and underground dance music history. Marke is a member of the Stud Collective, which owns the 54-year-old San Francisco queer nightclub, The Stud.
