Faith Adiele writes a travel column for Detour/The Miami Herald, and her books include The Nigerian Nordic Girl’s Guide to Lady Problems and Meeting Faith, a memoir about becoming Thailand’s first Black Buddhist nun that won the PEN Open Book Award. Her media credits include 2 episodes of HBO-Max's A World of Calm, Sleep Stories for the Calm app, and My Journey Home, a PBS documentary about finding her family in Nigeria She founded African Book Club at MoAD and the nation’s first workshop for travel writers of color through VONA/Voices. She chairs the Writing & Literature program at California College of the Arts and lives in Oakland.
